Why this is news worthy I do not know. I actually feel as sorry for the girl who did it as the victims. How messed up, confused & lonely must she have been to do this in the first place? And to think this is front page news.

I don't feel sorry for her. Being lonely and confused is no excuse for sexual assault. Just because a person is on the spectrum does not mean they can't be a sexual predator with the same intentions as other sexual predators.

While it's true that people on the spectrum tend towards altruism, it would be ignorant to believe there are not those on the spectrum who harbor negative and malevolent traits to their psyche.

Where are all the aspies who scream "Your lying kills my soul?" Or do they just want to find some reason for her lies because she's an aspie.

Sorry, if i lie, it's on me. Not on AS. And yes I do lie sometimes, I have to, to get by in the world. She's a freak, and it has nothing to do with AS.

I do not in any way condone sexual assault - I had assumed the attacker had issues due to being a transgender stuck in a woman's body and maybe mentally ill as well as autistic. If she is mentally ill then I don't think it should be a front page spread. However, I retain the right to remove my sympathy if all the evidence points to her beig a severe sexual deviant!! !

She was being deceitful and it's wrong to sexually target underage* girls, no matter what your sexual identity/orientation or neurological wiring.

*I'm aware that the age of consent is 16 in the UK, but I still think it's inappropriate since I have always been taught that the proper age of consent is 18.

No. Not transgender. Just thinking of yourself as the opposite gender doesn't make you a sexual predator. That chicks just insane. She's one of the VERY FEW Autistic people that NEEDS to be in a mental institution.

her defense is weak...but also makes a bad name for the rest of us.
Being a sexual predator is NOT in the DSM critera for ASD....also makes a bad name for LGBT folks too.
