You got to be kidding me. I wander if the school bored has a bunch of older women who chase after young men.

Darn political correctness. How is cougar even offensive? It's also a name of an animal.

This reminds me of the time when my school tried to change their mascot they have had for years and years because they thought it might offend Native Americans. For god sake's it was an Indian Reservation we were living on and it's where there are lot of Native Americans so why would they be offended by their own mascot? I rejected the vote and I think lot of people did too because the mascot stayed the same. I do not like change and like things to stay the same. Glad to see even NTs feel the same way.

Silly PC nonsense, I see no problem with the word cougar.

The school board should be replaced. They are obviously too cautious and stupid to be effective.
I'd never even heard of the term "cougar" used to describe middle aged women disparagingly.

Now that I know, though, I'll have to be sure to use it in a hurtful manner whenever the opportunity arises.

My late mother-in-law for all practical purposes was a cougar, and I sincerely doubt that she would have been offended.
