Not much to do with Romney, other than he chose the big wig republican sheriff that has been a force behind the Arizona law that allows law enforcment to pull over anyone they suspect is not American, who has been deporting herds of latino back over the border, only to find out he had some gay LTR with a latino immigrant. I dont have a problem with being gay, but the republicans are notorious for their stance against LGBT and latino imigration....and this guy...well I shouldnt have to spell it out to you, but it is rather amazing!

Not much of a chance, he should not have threatened his Latino lover with deportation, I think his budding GOP career is over, but he can always join the gay pride movement, maybe get something going there. :D

What admission?

He denied the allegation. Hasn't admitted anything at all.

People do make false allegations when they're painted into corners. I'd prefer to wait and see how this plays out before jumping to any conclusions. All this is at this point is he said/he said.

He's admitted that he's gay; something he apparently never let the public in on prior to this.

Should that be a problem?

For the conservative electorate who voted him into office, certainly yes.

no, see what they have now is an offical republican party gay person, so they can say "our [gays] are better than their [gays]."

I was watching him on CNN yesterday...they were talking about how he feels about the gay marriage position of his party, and he said "you cant legislate love" Although I agree with him on this whole-heartedly, to hear a republican running for senate saying this hit me between the eyes. I have nothing against him being gay, but the republican sheriff that has been throwing Latinos back over the border caught with a gay LTR with a Latino is an amazing twist of events. He did say he feels better though that his secret is out and he no longer has to hide it.

Well, let's see if that new candor of his sinks his career or not.

Well it seems that Romney's poll scores dropped 10 points with Santorum in the lead since the Sheriff thing.
My mom seems to think that Babeu was set up because of his record with Latinos....She thinks they sent a hot Latino that he could not resist to derail his political career.
She finds the outing of this and the Arizona primary at the same time to be kinda staged.
I dunno...I just find it interesting that Romney lost the front runner status due to this.
They are talking about bringing someone else in and running them up the polls, alot of talk about Chris Christie and Sara Palin stepping in at this point to join the race to the nomination.
I also heard that Romney lost deligates over this. Why does it matter so much...I dunno.
He can fire people in troves in Bain Capital, put his dog on the roof of the car, have a terrible record as far as jobs go, bounce all over the map, promice to go to war with Iran and that doesnt matter, but have a Latino luvin' gay man as Co-chair of his campain...and good Lawd...watch them run like their pants are on fire!

Actually, Romney's poll numbers were shot even before this scandal.
And the funny thing is, when it comes to right wing Republicans finding their political careers coming to a disastrous end due to some homosexual scandal, it has more to do with them unsuccessfully trying to keep it hidden from their constituents rather than due to some sort of entrapment. Think of Idaho Senator Larry Craig, or Spokane, Washington Mayor Jim West, who had walked into their own gay scandals with eyes wide open, and had nothing but their own homophobic rhetoric - and their own indiscretion - to blame when their downfall came.
