A perfectly, eminently possible thing. In a similar vein is one of my friends who's 70 and an amputee and does hillwalks, sometimes quite strenuous, on a regular basis. I was recently on quite a strenuous hillwalk up and down very steep gradients with him, so I must say age is not necessarily a barrier.

Can you imagine swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112, and running a 26.2 mile marathon, back to back to back, in under 17 hours, without legs? People do it all the time.

There's really no excuse for the able bodied couch potatoes out there.
