I tend to be sceptical of people who blow their own horns too loudly. He may be a future Nobel Laureate, but I am the empress of the Milky Way Galaxy.
As for a cure for spectrum disorders, if so, it comes too late for me. I am in my early 50s. No cure will infuse me with the knowledge of how to socialize or read social cues. Neither is there a cure for my introversion. And what about the physical aspects of spectrum disorders? Although I am not at the extreme end of the sensitivities traits, I am somewhat sensitive to loud noises, bright lights, certain smells and tastes, and skin sensitivities. Also, what about the mental input/output processing glitch that causes my time lag in responding to stuff? And lets not forget the mental and emotional overloads that cause extreme stress, shut downs, and melt downs.
I'm not from Missouri--the "show me" state, but if someone is claiming to have a cure for spectrum disorders I say, "Show me!"--Prove it!--Put up or shut up!
Now excuse me while I go count the stars in my empire.--Empress of the Milky Way Galaxy
