Fourteen squirrels arrested by Iran on espionage charges. Seriously. Looks like they found the nuts...

Ah, but were they American Yankee Imperialist squirrels or British squirrels seeking to expand their oppressive empire? interested parties want to know <g>.

Squirrels on espionage charges in Iran, Badgers released by British troops to bring fear and terror to the populace of Iraq.. cause its not like the west has unmanned surveillance drones, a comprehensive satellite system, or armoured divisions or anything like that... *rolls eyes*

Are we honestly supposed to take these people seriously? WTF makes Iran think that anyone would ever want it to have access to nuclear capabilities at all EVER if they do daft crap like this?

Slowly but surely I lose faith in humanity, and the obvious lies that are common sense and acting like grown ups.

i'm thinking of the episode of harvey birdman: attorney at law where secret squirrel is arrested for flashing people. now that is quality television!

this news story is entertaining as well, but not quite on the same level.

I actually thought you meant real squirrels and I was like "WTF they arrest a bunch of animals?"

But then I realized it must have been the name of a troop group.

Read the article. It specifies rodents.

The Iranians, like most totalitarian regimes, are extremely paranoid. To the point of silliness.

You just can't trust those Squirrels once when I was camping they stole some of our food. I think we should jail them all

They might have been an endangered species of squirrels that had been "tagged" with RFID or similar devices for tracking/population counting/conservation purposes?
