Family Research Council shooting: Security guard shot in arm, suspected gunman in custody

A security guard at the Washington, D.C., headquarters of the Family Research Council was shot on Wednesday after an altercation with a man who entered the lobby with a gun. Police and agents from the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating the shooting....

....A law enforcement official said at one point in the scuffle, the shooter expressed views that differed from those of the Family Research Council. The official also said the shooter was carrying a bag that had a Chick-Fil-A bag inside. Chick-Fil-A's chief executive has expressed similar views against same-sex marriage as the Research Council.....

...."This shooting is yet another reminder that recent comments by the Southern Poverty Law Center and Human Rights Campaign labeling FRC a 'hate group' are false, intolerant and irresponsible," Penny Nance, president of the conservative Concerned Women for America, said in separate statement. "That being said, in the spirit of loving our enemies, we pray for justice and deliverance from the evil that motivated the shooter."....

There is keeping religion out of politics, then there is stupidity, this is the latter.

Family Research council are a hate group full of homophobic intolerant losers who don't deserve to be shot but this organization doesn't deserve to exist. That doesn't mean killing or shooting anyone.

Accusing the Southern Poverty Law Center - an organization that takes on hate groups - for inspiring this attack is a new low.

So a group that promotes inequality is vindicated as "not a hate group" because some nutf*ck shot it up, in the eyes of "Concerned Women of America"? That's basically BS. It is always regrettable when things like this happen but lets not suddenly lose track of what this group stands really stands for.

I'm also tempted to say this in tongue-in-cheek spirit: "Stop using gun tragedies to push your political agenda!" ;)

Kudos to the security guard, who *after* being shot in the arm, wrestled the gunman to the ground and subdued him.

Events like these always seem to stir up finger pointing BS. The fact that people use incidents like these as a sorry ass excuse to keep their axes nice and sharp makes my f*****g blood boil. To be fair, they didn't say the SPLC inspired this attack, but that them being the victims of this attack makes the SPLC's labeling false. Which is obviously ridiculous since they don't just consider homosexuality unnatural, they want it outlawed. Sounds pretty hateful to me. But anyways, thank God no one got killed by this self-righteous loony.

And then there's all this crap about liberals, college professors and the liberal media on that yahoo article. Jesus Christ, shove your soapboxes up your asses already.

f**k yeah, the security guard handled it really well. I wish him a quick and easy recovery. It's nice that the suspect is tolerant towards homosexuality because he'll really need it behind bars.

If someone is willing to pay for that organization, it deserves to exists as far as the payer is concerned. The notions of "deserves to exists" is opinion and subjective opinion at that.

Male-on-male rape has little to do with homosexuality.

If even if people pay for something to exist, there are some organizations that are so hateful that existing makes this world worse. The people who support this organization have their heads in their butts and are homophobic at best.

If there's one more suggestion that this organization deserved it without some sort of facts and/or logic to back it up, I'm going to start banging my head against the wall.

Again I am not saying they deserved being attacked. I am saying I would not like them to be able to permeate certain people with their all out lies.

Liberals don't have to be pc, we just can't be insensitive with the words we use. Such as the wrong word for gay, or wishing someone dead.
