Autism's First Child

The article above is really interesting. So I just had to share it! What are your thoughts?

Sounds really intriguing. Will read it when I get done with my homework.
Trying to be responsible. :)

Fascinating.

But that man must have read the article. I can't imagine having that written about me—my eccentricities exaggerated and then published for the world to see. Only I have permission write about myself like that, and I hate to think of what he felt while reading that. I think the writer of the article fell into a common fallacy: that autistic people do not have emotion.

I just finished reading the article. I agree with the above reaction, (RocketPeacock) but still liked the article, because it is a step in the right direction in getting the world-at-large to perhaps someday have and exhibit acceptance rather than rejection and ignorance.
Thanks for posting.

I didn't take that away from the article. Although I don't know him, I find it hard to see that any of his traits have been exaggerated.

And we cannot but conclude that he was a willing participant--he was interviewed, the reporter accompanied him over the course of multiple days.

I simply don't see where the reporter has fallen into the fallacy that you claim.

That. Was. f*****g. Awesome.

I want to email this article to everyone I know.

If I didn't have a lapful of baby I would be flapping like mad right now.
