I think it's kind of hot? It will be great for cosplayers and furries. Slap some kitty ears on her to make it even better.

This is a strange idea. Is this wagging tail supposed to be for people who have difficulty reading body language?

Neither needed nor desirable as a body appendage.

But some years ago I heard about a similiar idea reported on, on the radio by the Car Guys for cars.

Humans dont get "pedestrian rage" walking around each other on sidewalks. But we do get road rage while we are in cars. Some say that the problem is that drivers cant see each other's body language from cars.

So one proposed solution was equipping cars with mechanical tails as social semifors (the way animals use tails).

The normal default position would be raised up and curved forward over the roof of the car (like the way meerkats hold their tails).

If you wanted to apologize, or show shame, the tail would drop between the car's "legs" (wheels), and so forth. Maybe waging to show apporval/joy. And like that.

Thought it was an interesting idea -for cars. Not for human bodies though.

Really? I get pedestrian rage every time I see some dude with an ipod and a set of beats headphones walking carelessly through intersections texting away on his cell phone. I also get road rage when I see people literally dancing in their cars...but maybe if I saw their body language rather than their sick drivers seat dance moves I wouldn't get road rage...who would have thought?

careless/inconsiderate drivers are the single reason i don't really like to drive. driving for me feels like a long-tailed cat nervously trying to avoid rocking chairs.

I can't drive. So a car with a tail would be superfluous, not to mention incredibly odd. Better idea, car changes color according to drivers mood like in cuttlefish who communicate through color patterns. The whole car doesn't even have to change color, just parts of it. I also don't like the idea of cat ears and tails for humans. I'd like to separate myself from animals not become them. No offense to my cat.
