i dont know about anyone else but its about time that they get their medals, and its all the more worth it when clive palmer is designing a new model on the titanic.? Then again both these issues are separate but it would be good to hear what anyone else thinks about it anyway,.they are with a simiar cause?
For the veterans they did enough in fighing back the nazis as well as in bomber command and i guess helping russia to keep britain safe and continue with the war.
im glad to hear they will be getting their medals soon, without their help in helping the navy survive the war, there would have probably been very little territory left to keep us afloat and from starving.
The closest i could compare without it being too obvious would be to compare the animated childrens film, bedknobs and broomsticks because it had an impact on me as a child, and was an inside look into what the war really did. in other words it got me interested at the end, as the result was for the greater good.

I agree it’s about time these men get the recognition they deserve.

Here are some interesting links.

I agree with the sentiment on the medals but you've lost me with the bedknobs and broomsticks reference.

i have confirmed what i meant in the above post and hope it leaves something to the imagination on what was a thrilling if not dangerous arctic voyage. i had finished reading recently a fictional novel about a wealthy family and an evacuee and thought after some pages which eventually led off to the voyage and how captain scott inevitably picked out suitors for the trip how sub zero minus temperatures could have been endured if not put off during the day. even the wealthiest people freeze to death out there.
now, i finished that and some other book about a lifeboat, im trying to piece together some of scotts theories in his rewritten journal and maybe put some to the test. well, saying this in hindsight to a few of the realities these brave heroes could stand and maybe more. who knows, i may decide to channel my energies into a greenpeace warrior ship one day, or make a transatlantic crossing together with some of the best survivors out there. any favours for prince harry? 8)
