Serial killer and all around bogeyman Richard Rimerez, aka the Night Stalker, has cheated his death sentence and has died of natural causes in prison hospital at age 53. Now he has an eternity to answer for his gruesome murders.

I don't think hell exists, but if it does, he'd deserve it.

He chose to devote himself to Satan. Now, it could be that he discovered JC behind bars and had taken communion and got the last rites. This would mean Heaven for him according to doctrine.

I never understood why he was not executed.

He was judged and proven guilty.

No one knows how many he actually killed, or how many rapes and assaults he committed that were not solved.

At least his living victims and the families of those whom he murdered may sleep better..

I was a senior in high school when this happened where I lived in Southern California. He came down my street. he attacked my boyfriends mothers friend, she was one of his surviving victims. The step-father of one of the kids I went to school with was one of the investigators on the case. I heard about some pretty greusome things that this monster did to his victims, the public was never aware of most of what he did and probably never will be told of it. It's too bad it took so long for him to die.
