I find it's always fascinating to watch and the standard better than it's sometimes given credit for,but elements of the voting are farcical. You just know that Cyprus and Greece will give each other good scores, likewise mutual appreciation will abound between the former countries of Yugoslavia,Baltic states and Scandinavian neighbours etc.
As usual the United Kingdom will no doubt be cast adrift in the voting, although our organisers have been sneaky by picking Bonnie Tyler, who is popular in mainland Europe. Anything to avoid the humiliation of being near to last in the voting again, regardless of how good the song may or may not be.

yep its party time once again so,

Here's just a few I've listened to so far and like. France is up first and the show starts in half an hour people!
I also voted for Denmark last year so who is it going to be this year? I don't know but the show starts in around 20mins!

Bonnie is actually from Wales, proving that it's not just England that the rest of Europe won't vote for,it's the UK as a whole !
Ireland even suffered, coming last with what I thought was a decent song, but they were probably jinxed by their singer coming from
Northern Ireland.

God, the sound system here is actually better than on telly. no wonder they were voting for crappy Denmark this year, having said that I did actually vote for them last year, because the song happened to be quite good. i'll find that one for you.. but here we have got the usual at the top of the list and us at the bottom. loved Irelands entry this year, Italy and france all stepped up their game. at last, take it to the max, encore un foi.

now why they came near last don't know. think Ireland actually did better than them.

We recorded it and started to watch it just before the voting started, so we could FF through all the dire stuff and just watch/listen to the entertaining stuff. So, we heard/saw about half a minute of each song, except for Denmark, Greece, Malta, Ireland and a few others (really can't remember, but no more than half a dozen in total). I liked Denmark best of all, so I'm happy with that. But, what happened to the votes for Ireland? As it was one I listened to, I thought it was pretty decent and likely to be one of the top songs (and not just because it's our neighbour, as I didn't listen to poor old Bonnie Tyler, so I don't care where the performers are from). I don't claim to be a music expert, but I have a pretty decent ear and that just seemed very peculiar. And the drummers were something decent to look at, instead of 'woman with Inspector Gadget legs', 'woman being carried by giant' and 'man upside down in a box'.

I can't remember at all. I just remember a man singing, whilst standing on top of a glass box. There was another man inside the box, at first, as a sort of mirror image of the singer.
