He is getting a lot of flack for this image. He says it was not what it seemed.

But even if it was, is this a domestic matter or one for law enforcement?

Sounds like there's something very nasty lurking underneath.

I can't read eyes that well, but the look she's giving him is hardly affectionate. It looks like fear to me. I detest men who will beat up on women; if they want to bully somebody, let them do it to somebody who can fight back.

If this is what he is capable of in public then you can imagine what happens in private.

The victim has stated that a caution was the right approach, a common response to abusive behaviour, to avoid public shame and media feeding frenzy.

I can't imagine why you'd think that. It's a look of laughter at his jolly jape, surely.

Yes, I'm taking the Miguel.

Are you trying really hard to say something intelligent and I'm not getting it? Or is this your attempt at sarcasm? If so, you might want to think about rejoining us aspies. It's a bit pathetic, don't you think?

I'm just being sarky. The real meaning is that it looks pretty obvious that she's in fear, but I'm (sarcastically) pretending that that's not the case.

Why are you doing that? What does that get you?

I have no trouble believing that. But I must say, I'm embarrassed for you. You're not very good at it.

Tequila, you've been around here for a long time, have made many posts, and I know you can do better. When you want to, you can be a decent fellow. I hope you decide to be so again.

Well, I can't read expressions that well, but what I did notice is that he seems to have a pretty firm grip on her throat. Too me that seems pretty aggressive.

If you look at the pressure he has applied to Nigella's neck, it's fairly obvious he is constricting her windpipe. The only thing that saved him from charges for assault is Nigella chose not to make a complaint to the police. Despite that the coppers were forced to appear to take action by giving Saatchi a first warning.

Nigella Lawson needs to stop looking at his money and just leave him.

It's not the money she stays for. People like him are predators. Masters of charisma and manipulation. They hunt for people who are easy to control and they mess with their heads. I saw it growing up with my former stepdad.

A Ted talk on domestic violence. Very insightful and really spot on.
