If you don't know what to say about it, I don't either.

Quite appropriate. The bible is a work of fiction with the only difference being that many people actually believe it.

And I apologize, the last word of the subject title should say "Costco". It just got cut off. XD

The Bible maybe great literature belonging alongside the Greek myths, and the works of Shakespeare, but it isnt journalism. It may contain truths about the human condition, but it is not a true story. There is no way that a story that has talking snakes, and the sun standing still in the sky is a 'true' story. But Costco cant afford to offend those who take it literally.

Personally, I think it belongs in the "Adult" section, for all the violence, sex and sodomy.

I wonder, though ... If the people of Sodom were committing sodomy ... what were the people of Gomorrah committing?

Image I haven't a clue ...

Historical literature. Like the Iliad and the Odyssey and the Torah and the Koran.

Reminds me of when I was in a publishers book clearance shop - one of those that sells off surplus books. A woman was getting really excited and annoyed that she'd found some bibles in the section for yoga, feng-shui, magic and other mystical stuff. She was ranting that she was going to play hell with the store manager. Her husband looked somewhat embarrassed by her tantrum. I just laughed quietly to myself. Just as well it wasn't a Koran there being discovered by a Muslim fundamentalist - or everyone in the shop would likely have been shot.

If it did belong there, then the Koran MUST go there. I want to see the Koran considered fiction then. (Most likely they won't.)

I think the bible belongs in the horror novel section next to the Lovecraft anthologies.

When I was Christmas shopping, I put Dick Cheney's book in the "True Crime" section...

I wouldn't be suprised if they used recreational plants in communicating with God....who in their right mind would believe in the idea of a talking snake?

The store claims that it was a mistake. They just mislabeled a small portion of the bibles and the pastor who found it wasn't actually that offended:
