I live in Maryland, as soon as I heard about this, I'm pretty pissed. She did a stupid thing to jet out from the country, she will likely be extradited.

As so long observed, an innocent person rarely runs away.

Wishing harms a tad much, after reading the details. The poor kid got laid from a cute asian chick, poor guy what is wrong with the world. 8)

The woman was 25 and the young man was 15, he was already engaging with sexting with her. I know it was wrong and criminal, but that would only further harm the young man, who is emotionally invested in this perverted woman, if she was hurt. I doubt you meant it, and assume hyperbole.

Honestly, when I was 15, I would have loved to be in his shoes...Seriously..a 25yr old Asian chick. Of course it's wrong, and now he might expect more or act inappropriate with other teachers. I'm guessing he's somewhat non-functional, and in that case it becomes worse.

When I was in school in the 80s, All the teachers were fat, old and ugly... In 1985 a young councilor, she was 24 used to stop me in the halls and bring to her office to chat. She had really long blonde hair, as was cute.

She would put her hand on my knee, but I just did not have the gut's to go for her. After a few missed opportunities she stopped talking to me. I still regret never making a move on her, but I'm a shy guy by nature.

What's wrong with it???

First he's autistic, so his social functioning and coping with situations like this is probably not in the highest functioning, coupled with his youth (15), it's completely inappropriate and can cause more harm. Also due to their age disparity it would never work out (legally/socially). If you read further on this article it indicates he's frustration with losing here (tearing up the door board as they drove by the school). Honestly, who do you think initiated and pursued this relationship 25 yo neurotypical v.s. 15 yo on the spectrum.

I understand many situations where kids had gotten involved with their teachers, it was illegal, but the boys would brag about it and in many times enjoy the situation. But I feel in this case it was more/less abuse.

She used him.

Using people is wrong.

She had options, could very easily have found someone on her emotional and age level.

This was a sexual power trip.

She got caught.

No teacher, counsellor, coach, therapist, step-parent has the right to molest or seduce, or use children, in any way, for their own purposes.

Does not matter if the child is willing, it is illegal for a reason.....it is detrimental to the child.

AND every parent has the right to expect their children to be in the care of people who know the rules and follow them.

Where I work, a large hospital, we have to read all of our workplace rules, state laws concerning our profession, pass the tests, and sign off on them, every year.

If we do not, we are removed from the schedule...we cannot work without passing our Competancies.

I would expect the same from a school system.

What did the 15 year old have to say about this.

I used to dream of my 9 th grade science teacher (what a babe!) sexually assaulting me.

Uhh. Why would anyone want sex...

I don't know the facts of the case, so I refuse to offer my judgement. If they want me to arbitrate, they have to give me access to enough information.

I think its honest that most teenage boys develop a crush on certain attractive female teachers. However most of us are mature enough to know that making a move on a female teacher is socially wrong for both parties.

The 15 yr old boy had autism in this story and was not mature enough to understand the teacher's motives and this compounds the boy's exploitation,

Anybody who feels the need to use a disabled child as a source for his or her narcissistic supply has some serious issues.

Um no. This isn't right, and it's a common and dangerous thing to say the male was 'lucky to get laid' even if it ends up going all the way to forcible rape by a woman. It's the common trope "Men always want sex" that makes this attitude so damaging. This makes male victims reluctant to come out for fear they will be stigmatized, so they end up living in silence about their rape. Plus more then likely she was 'grooming' him beforehand to be compliant, which makes her a sex offender. She's a pervert plain and simple, and he wasn't 'lucky,' just a victim.
