This 5 year old boy (with leukemia in remission) wished to be Batman.

So Make a Wish foundation gave him a costume, a car to get driven around in and make San Fran into Gotham City.

So he gets to travel around being Batman.

Batkid, from his hometown newspaper, the Klamath Falls, Oregon, Herald and News (the boy lives in a tiny town a few miles south of the OR/CA border, Klamath Falls is the nearest big town):

Wouldn't it be nice if every kid could have just one wish come true?

I hope his day was everything he wanted.

I saw another news item regarding Batkid. Apparently Make a Wish made an offer when Miles was 18months old. But his parents said that Miles should wait because they wanted him to remember it and really enjoy it.

Was it really wrong of me to hope that this story would be a follow-up to the below?

Suppose the kid has a Remission? Will he have to give back the costume?

<* BUMP *>

Latest update: Philanthropists pay bills for SF 'Batkid' fantasy.

Quote:
The city of San Francisco is being rescued from paying the cost of staging the "Batkid" fantasy that captured the nation's imagination. Philanthropists John and Marcia Goldman are picking up the city's $105,000 tab for allowing Miles Scott, a 5-year-old Northern California boy with leukemia, to fight villains and rescue a damsel in distress as a caped crusader on Nov. 15 ... (more)

Batkid totally pwn3d. The new Bane looks like a complete d-bag in the Hot-Topic-Emo-scene-wannabe-trend-following-monkey sort of way.
