I am basically indifferent to Rick Perry but I sense a political motive is afoot.

I don't think either Perry or Lehmburg are completely blameless, but I am guessing ol' Mofo can kiss the presidency goodbye.

I don't like Perry but I don't think he was in the wrong here. That Lehmberg seems like a real piece of work.

I don't like Perry either, but even if charges are dropped, he can still kiss the presidency goodbye.

Perry is a bully and a menace. Glad this happened.

He also has a constitutional power to veto legislation.

Perhaps he should not have used this power as a club to beat the drunken Democrat attorney general over the head. But if the Constitution of his state does not forbid what he did then why should he be indicted?

If convicted and sent to prison, I wonder if he'll give the usual Republican anti-sodomy spiel when he gets cornered in the shower.

The people taking the shots at him are left wing Democrats. Why am I not surprised?

Getting off-topic here for a bit, does anyone think of it as weird that
Perry wears hipster-style glasses?

He's trying to get away from the dumb, sh*tkicker look he used to wear, and thinks the glasses will make him look smart.

Not funny.

I didn't intend it to be - I'm being serious.

No, but it is an unfortunate fact of life. And I'm willing to bet he'd be singled out.

I doubt he'll ever see the inside of any prison.
