By the way, deposed Haitian dictator and all around son-of-a-b*tch Baby Doc Duvalier died.

You know honestly, most of what I know about Haiti is from The Serpent and the Rainbow and Haiti seemed like a scary place under Baby Doc judging from that.

While the movie was highly fictionalized, it was absolutely true that the Duvalier dictatorship was horrendously brutal, and that brutality was enforced by Voodoo witch doctors called the Taun Taun Mercute (spelling), or Bogeymen, who were enlisted into the Haitian army and police. Incidentally, our own CIA had been in cahoots with the Duvalier dictatorship of both Baby Doc, and his old man, Papa Doc.

Was shocked to learn that he was still alive in the first place!

He muat've been living in exile.

Which reminds me- is Idi Amin still alive? He had been living in exile in South Yemen for a long time.

Baby Doc had actually been living quite comfortably in France till the time of his death, since being overthrown.
Idi Amin has in fact died, and has gone to whatever Hell is awaiting him. A very good fictionalized biographic movie about Amin is The Last King Of Scotland, starring Forrest Whitaker, portraying Amin as a lunatic, almost man-child.

some humans make me want to believe in some sort of hell and the idea of divine justice in any sort of afterlife.
but I don't.
hence: another one got away.
