In case anybody's curious, the above link is to a web video of a "savant" taken from a 60 minutes episode, who apparently has AS. It's quite fascinating - I highly recommend watching it.

Got it on DVD. It is pretty interesting... if this is the same version as I have, then Simon Baron Cohen should be in it too.

Actually, I don't believe the 60 minutes ep has Simon Baron Cohen.

That's awesome! There really aren't that many autistic savants that are high functioning. Most of the time they have other major problems if they're savant. I bet that he could solve a Rubic's cube well within a minute, that is, if that skill functions on the same side of the savant skills in his brain. He could also go into casinos like Rain Man and totally win at Blackjack jk/lol.

He actually did that in a Discovery Network program on Savants. I doubt that there was actual cash involved, though, or if there was it was complimentary on the part of the Casino for publicity reasons.
