What this does not do is provide homeless people with jobs, or jobskills training so even though it may look good, it accomplishes nothing at all aside from a 'warm and fuzzy' PR story.

Still, having a free, first class meal is nothing to sneeze at. Apparently, those homeless people were very happy - if ever so briefly - in their otherwise unhappy lives.
And it should be recalled that job training means nothing if no one is willing to hire you. If employers would only consider the needs of the applicants rather than looking for what they consider to be the "cream of the crop" when hiring workers, then there would be far less homeless.
