Just read a news report about a superrich woman named Gigi Jordan who murdered her 8 year old autistic son. Not much about the actual crime, just that she's trying to get a bail set and they aren't interested, even for millions of dollars. No doubt a flight risk. But I still don't know any details. Anyone out there heard about this case?

That witch should have all her money taken away from her and be locked up for life.

Goes to show you - even the richest can be terrible parents if they lack a heart.

Dear XLCR, I had not heard of this, Googled the woman's name; what a mess! Her actions alone should have her locked up for life, either in the prison system or a psych facility , however, I believe, sadly, that her money will buy a very different future for her. If a low-income woman checked in to a New York Travelodge, made a scary call to a relative, who called the cops, and was found with the body of her little boy, she'd be in a Belleview padded cell. THIS one is sane enough to try for bail? Oh, of course, HER hotel suite was either $2300 or $2500 a night. The articles stated that 1,000 pills were found in the room. Police or EMT personnel said she was babbling about child pornography and Satanic cults. There were drug tests run when she was taken to the hospital, she tested positive, but not life-threatening amounts. Could or would someone fake a suicide attempt as part of a planned murder? Could or would someone concoct an elaborate charade to be rid of an unwanted child? Anyone hear of a little girl named Caylee Anthony? Mum's free and clear and has been offered $500,000 by Larry Flynt to pose nude for his intellectual publication, AND I understand that very lucrative book deals are being offered...see, it works, doesn't it? No, I do not think it's funny. I do think that 2 children were unwanted by their mothers, who each found her solution. R.I.P., kids, you are in a better place! XLCR, thank you for bringing this to the discussion room. We all need to be reminded how some Autistics are STILL treated! Sylkat.

Don't you know the rich can do what they want? They can maim us, rape us, and murder us without really doing anytype of jail time just as long as you are not another rich person. If they do jail time it is a "nice" prison that their lawyer chooses for them and the judge agrees to send them to. I bet her lawyer gets her off. :x

There seems to be abundant evidence that she was delusional, and has been for a period of years. If this was an elaborate ruse, I would question why she would have petitioned to have her son restored to her custody when he was taken from her two years ago.

The question in my mind is whether the decision to retore her son to her custody was the correct one, having his best interests in mind.

She dumped her husband for a younger man, married him, had the baby, that marriage fell apart, her child is diagnosed with something SHE can't handle, being her biological child she is responsible for his care& treatment. Unlike some well-publicized adoptive 'parents' of foreign kids, there is no sending him back. She must provide quality care, knowing he will never change, never 'get better'...her money cannot 'fix this'. She found a way. Like Casey Anthony, like Zahra Baker's stepmother, like Rilya Wilson's fake grandmother/guardian, the unwanted child, the burden, the complication is gone. I am not saying that Ms. Johnson is completely stable but she had the money to put him in an expensive specialized living facility and forget about him, but chose a different solution. Your point that he was out of her custody is a good one. My opinion, she didn't want him out of sight, she wanted him GONE. One detailed description of the scene in the room when the doors were forced stated that he was found dead lying on the bed on his back, with foam or vomit around his mouth. Aspiration of vomit is not a quick way to die. It's scary: you have to prevent him from rolling over, he inhales the vomit into his lungs, he struggles. Her mind may very well be 'off', but to whatever degree, and whatever accurate diagnosis of her condition, she checked in to the hotel intending to kill her little boy. And she did. Casey Anthony walked out of court, as did Rilya Wilson's guardian. Doesn't look like Zahra Baker's stepmother will be charged with more than improperly disposing of her body. I believe these women have gotten away with murder. I believe Gi Gi Johnson will, too. I absolutely agree with you that something is wrong with her mind, but there is something wrong with all 3 of these charming ladies, and they all killed kids. Sylkat.

Sylkat, unfortunately, I have to agree. She was probably ashamed of her son. Putting him away wouldn't be enough. There would still be bills and phone calls from doctors and people asking about him and such. It probably destroyed her self-conception as one of the beautiful people to know she had brought a baby into the world that was less than perfect.

This was apparent when Klaus Von Bulow's case was acquitted, and reaffirmed when OJ Simpson was acquitted in 1995.

Hi, Guys, I just reread my last post. The tone sounds like I was being very rude/ argumentative towards Visagrunt; that was not my intention. I am upset by the murder, by how I think it is being and will be handled, I did not mean to appear angry or nasty towards anyone here. I apologize for my tone Visagrunt, and I do very much respect your opinions. Sylkat

As those who commit crimes against children are pretty much at the bottom of the totem pole in prison, that 18 year sentence might just be life.

She was an astute businesswoman who grew a multimillion dollar pharmaceuticals company. I find the plea that she was delusional a little hard to believe
