Sad Story, reporting in local paper was aggravating!

I wish I could find a copy of the article I read in The Daily Oklahoman for Wednesday, August 19th because it was irritating. It pretty much explained the way these kids, one was 17, the others 15 and 14 died due to the driver being drunk and the cops seeing the pick up truck they were riding in weave onto the shoulder then back on the road, so he turned on his lights. When he did that, the driver of the pickup truck sped away and a chase began resulting in a rollover crash that killed the three teens and injured two more 17 year olds.
Basically, the driver was underage, drinking while driving, then running from cops and his actions resulted in several passengers either dying or being injured while the driver ended up dying in the crash.
Anyway, what irritated me about what I saw in the paper was the way they interviewed people who were saying the kids were "good country kids," implying everyone from the country is good which clearly, these were not good kids. They were typical juvenile delinquents and any city kid acting like these would be called a bad kid, not a good one by any stretch of the imagination and parents would be quick to take any vehicles and the kids would all be walking or riding bikes if they acted like that. So how is it these people are so convinced they were good just because they happen to be from the country? They did not sound good to me. They sounded like what us city folks would call "bad" kids. Is this the country definition of good?
Oh, and nobody was wearing any seatbelts either, they had more than one open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Like I typed before, no city person would ever EVER say this kind of behavior is any indication the kids are "good." So why is it these country folk are so quick to dismiss this horrible, destructive behavior ONLY because these kids come from a rural community instead of a city. It was like they were talking like they are the only ones capable of feeling any pain while everyone else is somehow desensitized only because they happen to live in a rural setting where everyone knows each other. Well, if that's the case, how come no one knew this one kid had drinking and delinquency problems?
