Autistic boy chained up in family home

A TEENAGE boy with autism has been taken to hospital after being found chained up inside his family home in Western Sydney.
Police were called to a home in Blacktown at 12pm today following reports of the boy’s welfare. He has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
A statement from NSW Police said officer from Blacktown Local Area Command will investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident.
This will include speaking to the boy’s mother and all relevant agencies.
It is understood the boy’s carer found him in the back room of the home while his mother was at the shops.
