Gunnar Hansen, who had played the iconic serial murderer, Leather Face, in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, has died of pancreatic cancer at age 68. Goodnight, gentle giant.

He only played the role once. He isn't really known for anything else.

I heard it was very hot when they filmed the movie and it made conditions terrible.

He owned a farm in the Midwest.

He wrote poetry.

He loved appearing at fan events, and was very popular.

He appeared in many other 'B' movies; one I remember was 'Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers', which showed his

humorous side.

That film also starred Linnea Quigley, who may be a talented actress, but whose penchant for taking her clothes

off.....ALL of her clothes...tends to distract from her dramatic abilities.

R.I.P., Mr. Hanson.
