Not really helping given it's aimed specifically at BLM and it's a no brainer anyway that cops are paid to protect all of us (as if they need reminding?)

I thought the police were supposed to be building bridges?

I see how it can be "inflammatory", but BLM holds no moral high ground so far. So, they've got it coming in this regard.

BLM are a public organisation so can say whatever they like (according to the Yank's much loved and often quoted 1st amendment)

The cops are paid public servants and not supposed to meddle in politics

Not to mention BLM isn't a political body, as you said. So, it's apolitical and wouldn't come under this clause anyway.

It's foolish of some black lives matter supporters to respond to this phrase as if the dolts who spout it have a valid point.

A better response would be to welcome such statements as anyone who thinks all lives matter must agree that black lives matter.

Foolish people on both sides think "black lives matter" means "black lives matter more." The only ethically defensible position is "black lives matter as all lives matter."

"All Lives Matter" ... Where is it addressed to the "Black Lives Matter" movement, black people in general, or any one particular ethnicity? How is it a political statement when no political institution, party, or candidate is even mentioned? What is so evil about expressing a sentiment that encompasses everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, or cultural identity?

Stop trying to politicize everything. Stop trying to attach racist motivations to the best of intentions. Stop trying to stir up trouble where there is none.

Three simple words; that's all that "All Lives Matter" consists of. You may as well try to say that "Love Your Neighbor" is both racist and political in nature as well.
