Washington Post: The real winner of Super Tuesday is Canada

Canada's immigration website slowed down as Trump succeeded on Super Tuesday.

Quote:
According to Google trends, searches for “How to move to Canada” surged as Tuesday’s results came in. Simon Rogers, a data editor at Google, noted that the phrase’s search popularity had increased by 350 percent between 8 p.m. and midnight Eastern.

If anyone's considering it, I recommend British Columbia. :D

If Trump wins and really does cause a groundswell of American refugees to flee north then...Canada will have no choice but build a wall! And then demand that the USA PAY FOR IT!! !! !

I am not saying that ALL Americans are undesirables, rapists, and drug runners, of course!

Most of them are fine people!

At one point, Trump mentioned building a wall on the Canadian border, now I see why. Lol

Even though I live by the border, I haven't been to the States in over 20 years. It's too much bother now that you have to have a passport. And everything is so security oriented, it scares me.

Yeah..the good ole days we could cross each others borders like nothing.

You can thank Ben Laden for ending that era.

Back in the '80s we used to cross to go shopping all the time. It was no big deal.

What is it that makes us the real winners? The Americans are going ruin Canada just like they ruined their own country. :(

I would either consider Japan or Brazil if I was going to leave the U.S.

Depends on the people who come up here. Presumably it would be those who disagree with the Trump philosophy.

Really, over Canada. Can I ask why?

I support your guy's right to immigrate to Canada and use their entitlements while sending your money back home to the US, to say otherwise is heartless, racist, and akin to Naziism. To those Canadians that have a problem with I say this, 54-40 or fight! It's really been our land the whole time! Manifest destiny! Free movement of people, whats yours is ours!

I'm not sure I understand you, Jacoby ... how is emigrating to Canada heartless, racist and Nazi like?

And good luck with the manifest destiny. Canadians are easy going, but we're tough when we need to be.

Not allowing Americans to immigrate en masse with no restrictions to Canada is heartless, racist, and Nazi like. :P

Now replace the US with Mexico and Canada with the US, make sense now?

Ah, irony ... Well, I suspect most Americans would be welcomed by Canada. We're friendly like that.

Japan??????????????

Japan is great...for Japanese.

Its sucks for outside immigrants (if they even let you in in the first place). Or thats my understanding of it. I doubt that Japan would "consider" you, or any of us.And though the people there like foreign visitors they hate foreigners as permanent neighbors.

Brazil and Japan are an odd combination as favorites.

I think of them as two extremely different places.
