I thought I'd hit this one on the head before someone with heavy partisan leanings got it. There's a lot to be upset about, but this isn't one of em.

This isn't a big deal or even unordinary. President Obama also did this for his first inauguration, declaring it a "National Day of Renewal and Reconciliation" by executive order as well. It's just a symbolic patriotic thing.
