TL;DR: Global climate change is shutting down the Atlantic Ocean water circulation system. This means that England might actually get cooler in the short term for a while.

In other words, permafrost will continue to melt, arctic sea ice will continue to melt, Pacific islands will continue sinking into the sea, the southern US states will be hit by hurricane after hurricane ... and our friendly neighborhood oil shills will tell us "Britain is getting colder ... so the rest of the world must be just fine!"

In other words, don't bother trying to convince anybody that global warming is real. The oil shills already have their golden excuse ready. Everyone is going to fall for it.

Instead, just read After Man by Dougal Dixon and ponder how awesome the world will be when the human species is extinct.

"Conservatives" want a cutthroat world in which the strong dominate the weak. They will certainly get a world like that when the global food shortages start. In such a scenario, men might take what little food is left, leaving nothing for women.

A wise woman named Rosa Luxemburg once said that we can either have socialism or barbarism. I doubt she knew just how right she was.
