So, people can pay and wear the star of David as a "sign of solidarity with the victims of National Socialist tyranny." (virtue signalling) People willing to break a social taboo (wearing the swastika) for the price of a theatre ticket are (by implication at least) not showing such "solidarity" in full view of the people who are. Sounds more like a sociology experiment than theatre to me, or an open invitation to neo-nazis to take them up on their offer and cause trouble.
I totally support the theatre's right to show the performance, and it seems that the intent of the play is to highlight important issues - but I agree with Sweetleaf, it just comes across as a "click-bait" publicity stunt in this day and age, no matter how much they might intend it as thought-provoking satire (and the kind of thoughts provoked in genuine neo-nazis ain't gonna be what they intended!)
