This is more proof that the "liberal celebrity obsession" that conservatives complain about isn't real.

The conservatives voted for a literal celebrity president. Then, they started respecting an idiotic singer just because he said some positive things about their celebrity president.

Now, the conservatives seem to think that Dr. Oz is a real doctor just because he has a TV show. In reality, "Dr." Oz is infamous for promoting medical quackery on his show.

Predictable I guess. Trump said many times that he only hires the best people, but he didn't specify what exactly they were best at. Bullshitting seems to be a primary best-at that Trump favours, he does it and he likes other people who do it for him. He lends his presidential authority to their BS, which is a dangerous thing as many people are gullible in terms of authoritarian bombast.

Ironic, he's like "The Wizard of OZ" who wasn't really a "wizard".

"He is a proponent of alternative medicine, and has been criticized by physicians, government officials, and publications, including Popular Science and The New Yorker, for giving non-scientific advice and promoting pseudoscience"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mehmet_Oz

-he supports "faith healing"
-he supports "homeopathy"
-he supports "psychic communicating with the dead"
-he promoted NARTH (Reparative therapy for LGBT)

The difference is that, although the Wizard of Oz wasn't actually a wizard, he was an inventor. He was based on Thomas Edison after all.

Dr. Oz is purely a showman.

Yeah, I believe Dr. Ounce has promoted some pretty dodgy weight loss programs, hasn't he?

Only in the states could a complete quack like Oz have a doctor title in this day and age. I have always hated him because he's obviously a sleazebag.

I'm actually going to disagree with you on that one.

Alternative medicine is popular in America because real medicine is so expensive. There are many other countries which have the same problem.
