The SNL comic made a dire-sounding tweet and then deleted his account, yesterday, alarming many of his friends and resulting in a police "welfare check" on him. He appeared on last night's live program, but only very minimally.

I feel so badly for him. It seems that being in the public eye just exacerbates any mental health problems people have. I hope he can pull through. We've seen so many performers who couldn't. (Amy Winehouse, etc.)

Life is precious.
