O o o k a a a a y ... That reads more like Frankenstein's Elephant-Man than any treatise on cosmetic surgery.

Obviously, PM Modi has not even the slightest understanding of modern science or his country's own history.

If they were known to the folks of ancient India, why wasn't it passed down through the generations?

The point being made is that the proponents of Hindu Nationalism are so desperate for global credibility in science that they will fabricate an entire fictional history that would make L. Ron Hubbard jealous.

This is the same as the leaders of the former Soviet Union claiming that every technological advancement in the early 20th century was the result of the "superiority" of communism over every other form of government-- "We Invented It First" became a meme of Soviet arrogance and ignorance. PM Modi should take note.

Actually, mummified animals,usually cats, have been found in ancient Egyptian tombs with their heads replaced with those of other animals.

Oddly, there were no Hindu plastic surgeons known to be in practice in that area. :roll:
