UK Constitutional Crisis Over Refused Resignation?

In the UK, Boris Johnson faces a possible Patlimentary vote of no confidence by Parliment members who wish to stop the no-deal Need it he seems to be heading for ' But someone around Boris said that. if he did lose the vote, he would not follow custom and resign (and start running again. I guess) there and them - but delay the election until after the Brexit deadline of October 31st - Halloween ! - so that he and the no-deal Brexiters would get a no-deal done anyway, before the election could change it...though that would violate British tradition & precedent, and possibly the law.
People tending toward the anti-no-deal Brexit side - Tory rebels, and Labour, SNP, and Lib Dem PMs - would be the people wanting to stop a no-deal with a no confidence.
It has been stated that, were Johnson to refuse to resign after losing a no confidence - the Queen herself might find it nessecary to step it and legally force him to resign ! (And at her age! ) This would break the " constitutional monarchy " tradition of the Queen staying out of direct politics, of course ...I saw this in the Daily Mail, I can't link - Presumably the more " respectable " papers reported on this too. that's the article which my phone threw up...
