Allegedly Trump asked the Ukraine to investigate Biden and his son Hunter, using a U.S. military package as leverage to do so.

Lot of smoke, but there's been a lot of smoke all of Trump's presidency. If this can be proved, it would be a corruption charge that would necessitate an impeachment.

No one wants to comment on the biggest US political story at the moment?

Just a distraction from the fact that we're sending troops to Saudi Arabia for no reason....

I believe his problems with hush-money in New York might prove to be more problematic for Trump.

It appears that Trump threatened to withhold 400 million in aid to Ukraine.

He's been doing that publicly since elected.

The problem is soliciting a foreign government for intelligence to influence an election. That's illegal and what the entire Mueller investigation was about. The Mueller investigation found nothing to show that Trump had done that in the 2016 election, but if he did so here it is a very big problem. Broadly using the powers of the presidency to tamper in elections is why Nixon resigned (and would have been impeached and convicted if he hadn't).




It's not threatening to withold aid that's the problem. It's threatening to withhold aid in exchange for intelligence on a political rival and election opponent.

Here's a wrinkle. Trump is going to release the transcript of his phone call with the Ukraine president tomorrow. Must be confident.

If only I had a dollar for every time they said impeach/impeached/impeachment for the last three years starting before he was even inaugurated.

It's like that movie Groundhog Day. Seemingly every day of the last thousand days, Trump being impeached is breaking headline news.

Impeachment doesn’t mean all that much. Conviction means a lot more.

22 non-Democratic Senators will have to be persuaded to vote to convict—and all 45 Democrats.

I find that the odds are not in the Democrats’ favor on this.
