Donald Trump had to be talked down from wild plans on immigration control, which included shooting immigrants, electrifying the border wall and creating a moat filled with snakes and crocodiles, according to a new book based on White House insider accounts.
https://www.news.com.au/world/north-ame ... 0aaf76a619
The US President has never been shy about his goal of stopping immigrants entering the country through the US-Mexico border.
One of the main promises he made during his 2016 election campaign was to increase border security by building a wall along the entire 3145km length of the border.
Mr Trump later revised this promise, saying the wall would only actually cover half the length as natural barriers like mountains and river would cover the rest.
Despite no new wall being built yet and only about 95km of old barriers replaced, Mr Trump is still fixated on pursuing ways of stopping the influx of immigrants.

You know ... you could say anything about Mr. Trump that paints him as an ignorant, irrational, narcissistic bully, and no one is likely to be surprised by it. I certainly am not.

Would be funny if the Moat snakes managed to slither onto Airforce one when Ivanka was on board

Electric fences aren't exactly a fringe idea, though. I don't know how much power it would take.

So there is a new book that is full of accounts given by anonymous White House insiders. One of them told me Trump slathers himself in mint jelly and pretends to be the President of Mars. True story.

I hope no one is dumb enough to believe this garbage.

In a way I understand why Trump was angry at the people who he fired. How dare they shoot down his ideas on things like shooting people being illegal without presenting any other options!
Hasn't anyone ever heard of using pungee sticks, maybe some claymores, and maybe an irrigation system to help grow fields of poison ivy and such in the desert?

I don't think alligators would be happy campers living in a moat in a desert climate. They'd probably crawl out and try to locate an environment more suited to them. Suffice to say, they'd all die before achieving that goal.

Sharks would be a better idea -- and far more vicious!

Good point. Would you have any input on what species of poison snakes would be most suitable?

Hmm, the news claims they have reports of aides having to seek cost estimates and the trolls claim it's all made up. I wonder who's more credible.

Yeah, we're all dumb enough to believe this garbage because it's factual.

None of us believe in this garbage, don't get it twisted. The hearsay may be deafening but Trump is still a psychotic racist despot with nothing better to do than tweet.

The only reason to vote for someone like that is if you're planning to benefit financially from other people's suffering.

Try to understand the difference between reality/proven facts and the media reporting a claim from an 'anonymous source'.

Most commonplace facts are derived from anonymous sources.

Actual footage of Trump discussing that very subject in the Oval Office!
