Yup. Back in school if a white person used the N word it was a scandal, parents were called and the word racist was repeated all the time. But if a black kid constantly used terms like powder face or white trash, they got a little scolding, the kind that other kids would get for using the word stupid about another person.

Of course, this is just my experience. Hopefully most schools don't tolerate racism from black people either.

And if you enjoy equality under the law regardless what your color, religion, sexuality, etc is, if you enjoy a forty hour work week, overtime, unemployment insurance, etc, then you should thank your lucky stars they are.

But conservatives standing arm in arm with neo nazis for marches and kind of denying there is any problem with neo-nazis on the right doesn't encourage the racists at all? That said I will say though I consider myself liberal, I certainly do not think s**t slinging is the best way to address racism but certainly seems there's at least a segment of liberals who do. Also racism is hardly limited to white americans it exists all over the word. Also, I think sometimes racial insensitivity gets lumped in with racism, which it could be hard for someone to listen to why what they said may have been inappropriate if people just scream 'racist' at them.
