This is why I hate modern art. Talk about souless and stupid.

I'm still pissed that I was outbid.

Whatever happened to the guy who made the Virgin Mary out of elephant sh*t?

So, anybody want to convince me that we're NOT going morally bankrupt as a society?

Well...you gotta admit that it does have a peel.

But that person who forked over the 120K for it...at least you can hang a Kandinsky, or a Rembrandt, on your wall for a few years without it turning brown and disintegrating.. how is that person going to preserve their investment?

Apparently it's not true art unless it's gross, nasty, or just plain stupid. I can almost hear the other artists laughing and teasing me, saying, "You mean to tell us you apply paint with a BRUSH? You don't swallow the paint and then regurgitate it onto the canvas?", "You're still using PAINT and not bodily fluids? No wonder you're such a failure!"

Honestly I think I'm more pissed about the fact that somebody would actually spend so much money on one banana to hang in their gallery instead of using that money to but a lot of cheaper bananas to feed the hungry homeless people in our country.

You could buy yourself a McDonald's fish sandwich, and then duct tape it to a blank canvas, and try to sell it.

Entitle it "Not a Jackson Pollack, but an Alaskan Pollack".

The art is not to make ot but to make someone buy it for ridiculus prices.

I just posted my latest work for sale. It is composed of a dozen fake turds glued on a ceiling fan and I call it "Greatest accomplishments in modern politics"

I would have better luck with art if I tossed my typewriter from a bridge abutment and photographed the resulting mess, than if I kept on writing books. Funny how nature do that!

I think I'll sell an orange peel to some pretentious art snobs and call it "Orange: The Aftermath".
