(clicky)actor Orson Bean was clipped by one car, and run over by another while in a crosswalk near his home in venice, california late friday night, february 2, 2020. he was 91.
The entertainer, a distant cousin of President Coolidge and father-in-law to the late conservative writer Andrew Breitbart, has worked show business steadily since the 1950s and honed his craft on and off Broadway before becoming a live television staple.
RIP.

sorry, but all his video clips seem to have been removed from the web.

woulda had a 92nd birthday this coming july if it weren't for those cars not paying attention to the crosswalk.

He was charming and talented, and funny; years ago he was everywhere on T.V.... he should have been able to enjoy a well-deserved retirement and die peacefully:(

So what no one got charged or anything....guess its good to know if one gets run over at a crosswalk no one gets held responsible. Seriously it sucks cause I use the bus so I have to cross at a lot of crosswalks and always have to hope some as*hole not paying attention to the road doesn't run me over.

a higher court may hold one or both parties responsible.

sick of people thinking the freaking walk across light doesn't matter, like what the hell he got ran over at a cross -walk, do people just forget a crosswalk is for people crossing the street or what?

at least one of the drivers claimed he was distracted by some pedestrians on the sidewalk yelling at them to slow down. orson and his wife had just been at a theatre nearby and were headed home, if only he could have avoided that particular crosswalk that night, or had different timing.
