Minor point but many are as*holes even when there isn't a plague!

Priests often refused to give last rights during the 1348 plague,King's and the rich would hole up in there large estates and the poor had no refuge from the plague.

People became hardened to plague death's and would a joke of it,and have light hearted celebrations at plague funerals. :skull:

Whilst over here (tax avoider) Richard Branson has been demanding the government bail out his business empire, point being don’t go around hating rich people in general: save it for the ones that have an entitled bad attitude, and give praise where due to the ones that act responsibly (like Bill Gates).

That was nice of the Gates.

I don’t begrudge a person for being rich—especially if they worked hard at getting rich.

Even if one has won the lottery, that’s cool, too.

One could criticize the system that has enabled vast wealth disparity....but not all rich people deserve to be criticized.

Oh, I dunno.. maybe use some of their abundance of financial resources to ensure the health and safety of others in society besides just themselves?

Maybe throw a bone to their servants and wage slaves so they’re still alive to work for them post pandemic?

Non selfish things like that would be an excellent start, IMO.

It’s a collective thing. Wealth disparity is at all time highs in the history of capitalism. If people are dying because they Have To risk their lives exposing themselves to danger for their daily bread &/or don’t have access to the basics of personal hygiene like soap and running water, it’s not because they haven’t worked hard enough, it’s because there are obscenely wealthy people hoarding the world’s wealth and avoiding paying their fair share of taxes.

I don’t dislike people for building fortunes via hard work, saving, and investing. I dislike the Billionaire class for the societal f**kery that their existence creates.
