Being Beirut you would assume it was terrorism (250 US Marines died in one bomb attack there in circa 1980).

But it could also just be an accident. Stupidity happens too. Even in terrorism zones.

Not terrorism according to Israeli and Lebanese sources. Hope Boo is okay. Israel has offered medical aid but I doubt it will be accepted.

I saw a few headlines talking about a "large explosion" earlier. This from our sensationalist media. Large explosion? That's the understatement of my life, this was so big even words like immense or colossal don't feel strong enough. I saw a tanker truck explode in an enormous ball of fire once, that doesn't even compare to this. Closest thing I can think to compare it to is a volcano blowing up. They heard it in Cyprus over 200KM away.

NPR. Radio here initially reported a few observers report a plane overflying the location , moments before the blast.
Have not seen this information anywhere else yet .

Later reported it was a storage depot of old chemicals that blew up, After having seen the video footage .
And the NPR. Report , looked like a initial explosion with several strong secondary explosions .
“Just Saying “that it looked like a precision bomb strike . On a munitions storage . Am open to any other opinion on the secondary and more , Explosions ?

Hoping boo is safely away from that area .
