Tony Lavoie's wife caught her husband and his 63 year old mother,Cheryl Lavoie having sex at there home on Clarendon st. in Fitchburg on may 20th of this year.

Lavoie's wife called 911 and when police arrived they were told by mother and son that the sex was consensual,and it was the first time it happened.

Both were arraigned on incest charges and released on there own recognizance,and ordered to not have contact with each other.They have a pre trial hearing on october 27th and could face 20 years in prison.

It at least good to say they had a good mother son relationship at least

Not sure why a 911 call was necessary,I think a police report would have worked

At least the mom has gone through menopause and there won't be any possible pregnancy

20 years in prison,I must say a bit harsh,honestly I think probation would work here

Probation? Sounds more like they need counseling.

And the way things are going now, I could see them getting a counselor to give advice along the lines of "in order to manage your inappropriate sexual urges, maybe you should consider starting a riot in the name of being against racism. Just remember, once you light the Molotov cocktail, you have less than a minute to throw it or it will blow up on your face."

people need to mind their own GD beeswax. the son and mother didn't hurt anybody else aside from betraying the wife, it should be strictly between those three but the wife wanted to make a literal federal case out of it, glad she's not my wife.

Creepy? Sure. Need psychiatric help? Probably. Worthy of 20 years in prison? Wait, what?

On the other hand, it'll be one hell of a "so what are you in for?"- story...

At least it's not a father and 15 year old daughter situation,everyone is decades over the age of consent.People think of this type of thing happening only in West Virginia.Fitchburg economically and demographically is pretty much West Virginia really.One of the more entertaining news stories in a while

I dont get laws against incest. The real issue I see is the cheating.

Laws against incest are mainly there because incest related pregnancies yeild a higher rate of birth defects than any other variable around the woman getting pregnant.

They say that's why there was so much hemophilia in the pre revolution Tzarist Russia and other European Royal families,was because of so much of the intermingling among families.Inbreeding basically.

I am sure the mom is done breeding.

I can understand the rule against having kids with family members but if none of them aren't getting pregnant and can't get pregnant anymore, what is the harm?

What about abuse?

The Habsburgs being the prime example, of whom Charles II of Spain was probably the worst.

It was consensual and both parties were decades above age of consent,there was no abuse in this case.

We already have laws against abuse.

The only objection from my point of view was that he was married. A spouse is a person who can rightfully object to consensual sex of two adults.

Prince Albert who was a cousin of Victoria and husband had was hemophiliac.That was the problem with the royals only marry royals thing,the dating pool gets smaller and smaller.It's better today where they can marry wealthy aristocratic type commoners.

I can't speak for the world and maybe even the US.But this happened in the state of Massachusetts,I actually went through a divorce in Massachusetts personally(my ex was kind it was smooth and easy)

Adultery is illegal in civil court and could get you a bad divorce where you owe your ex a lot of money,but adultery could never be rape,as long as those "having" sex consent there is no criminal issue.But you better get a good divorce attorney.
