Dominick Black, a friend of Kyle Rittenhouse is being charged with buying an AR-15 style rifle for underage Rittenhouse.

He is being charged with two counts of intentionally giving a dangerous weapon to a minor causing death. These charges carry a maximum 25 years in prison.

This is interesting, because, according to Black, Rittenhouse knowingly used him to circumvent Wisconsin gun law.

So Black knew what he was doing. Well, he could also be an accessory to Rittenhouse's crimes.

That's a good point.

I am just finding this a really sad story. I do not condone what was done. I actually believe people should be held accountable for their actions. It is just this crazy stuff people are signing up for which will do nothing than bring harm to them and others. How is this worth 25 years of someone's life?

I concur. Did they knew each other beforehand?

Yes, Rittenhouse gave Black the money to buy the AR-15 rifle.

I posted this in the Rittenhouse thread. This bit of news doesn't bode well for Kyle and his republican buddies who are trying their best to fight extradition.

Some irony that Rittenhouse claims to fight to support the criminal-justice system and the police but doesn't believe the law he cherishes so much applies to him

It’d set a strong precedent that thou shalt not circumvent gun laws and put guns in the hands of people who cannot legally procure them on their own.. and the USA does tend to like to give long sentences to offenders in order to set said precedents and deter others from committing the same crimes.
