Trump has suggested he wants to pardon himself: NYT
The New York Times reports that two people with knowledge of the discussions verified that the president had raised the issue in recent days; the move, never before attempted by a U.S. president, would be of questionable legality as experts disagree over whether a president has the power to unilaterally declare himself above the law before leaving office.
The Times reports that Trump has fretted openly about the possibility of a Justice Department controlled by President-elect Joe Biden launching investigations into him and his family following his departure from the White House. Calls to prosecute the president on the left and among some Republicans sharply grew Wednesday
Some of the president's allies including Fox News host Sean Hannity have advised him publicly to make such a move before leaving office, suggesting that the Biden administration will seek retribution against the Trump family.
Federal prosecutor leaves door open to charging Trump in Capitol riots
Michael Sherwin, the acting U.S. Attorney for D.C., repeatedly told reporters on Thursday that his office would be investigating and potentially charging "all actors" involved in Wednesday's riot.
"I don't want to sound like a broken record," Sherwin said when specifically pressed about Trump's speech at a rally for his supporters that day. "I'm going to stand by my earlier statement, we're looking at all actors here, and anyone that had a role and the evidence fits the elements of a crime, they're going to be charged."

Well, Trump may *claim* he has the power to pardon himself, but that doesn't necessarily mean the courts will agree. The Constitution is rather vague on this, and there is no legal precedent.
It would be definitely be interesting to see how "his" 3 Supreme Court justices would rule in such a case.

Pumpkin only has two weeks left to try and pardon himself, so what would be the point?
The two only people who could pardon Trump easily would be Pence or Biden.
Just lock him up in a solitary confinement section of a mental hospital.
