I'm neither Muslim nor from Muslim background, but my impression is, they are insane even for the standards of their own religion.

And the Taliban are blocking women from studying to be doctors, and saying that women can only be seen by women doctors! How's that going to work?? There will be no women doctors so no women will ever see a doctor. It is going to cull the population of Afghanistan because many of the babies, and women, will die.

They didn't.
They just wanted to get out of the costly mess called Afghan War, with possibly minimal disruption to their own societes.

Politics is dirty and this was a no-win situation anyway.

They were barred from traveling to another country, Bahrain...that happens to be a Muslim country.

So obviously theyre at odds with the rest of the Muslim world as well.

On top of that ...the Taliban is now forced to fight its own "war of counter insurregency" in the eastern border areas against ...ISIS. At the same time, on the western border, the Taliban has recently gotten into cross border shoot outs with the Army of Iran over water rights. So Muslim extremists dont even ...get along with each other very well!

Muslims, never mind Muslim extremists, are notorious for not getting on well, despite their 'peaceable' religion.

Groups of humans generally don't get on with other groups of humans when there is power, money and territory involved.

Letting them to pit each other is a good strategy to… reduce their numbers.

Since the Taliban took over Afghanistan 2 years ago, girls and women have been banned from every aspect of life. Hundreds - including little girls - are now dying by suicide every month.

It’s gender-based apartheid, systemic oppression based on sex rather than race, according to the UN. And there’s a way to counter it.

If gender-apartheid gets recognized as an international crime, the International Criminal Court (ICC) can then take practical action to end it. Sign to demand we don't let another year pass with so many Afghan women buried, dead or alive.

They shouldve forced him to undergo a sex change operation, and then forced him to live, as a woman, under the Taliban regime.
