That issue is likely caused by a misunderstanding about black holes in general. We want to think that we have all of the answers, but alas, we do not.

I have a hypothesis that the universe is multi-dimensional. At the point of the Big Bang, the universe was 1 dimensional at the start and expanded into a higher one. Time progressed and it expanded into higher and higher dimensions. We exist in the fourth dimension (space-time). Black holes might syphon matter and energy into even higher dimensions during the deconstruction stages within the inner portions of the hole. Whatever does not escape becomes part of the core neutron star. Dark matter/energy exists in higher dimensions than us, so we cannot directly view their existence. We can only “see” their shadows, where their dimensions interact with our own. It is these shadows that we keep pondering over.

Black holes are some of the strangest and most fascinating objects in space. They're extremely dense, with such strong gravitational attraction that not even light can escape their grasp.

The Milky Way could contain over 100 million black holes, though detecting these gluttonous beasts is very difficult. At the heart of the Milky Way lies a supermassive black hole — Sagittarius A*. The colossal structure is about 4 million times the mass of the sun and lies approximately 26,000 light-years away from Earth, according to a statement from NASA.

Black holes: Everything you need to know

We are traveling around our Milky Way galaxy and we are currently in one of its spiral arms. In my humble opinion, these spiral arms contain many invisible black holes. As you look forward in time, these black holes within the Milky Way will combine together into a massive Black Hole. Our galaxy will combine with other galaxies and eventually the mass will become so large that it will fracture the elements together to form new elements. Eventually the mass will be converted into massive energy and our universe will experience another unbelievably large explosion. The universe will be total dark and then there was light.
