The sweeping 41-count indictment also names lawyers John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, Jenna Ellis and Ray Smith, along with several others. All were charged with violating Georgia's RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization) act.
In an indictment handed up to the judge around 9 p.m. and made public just before 11 p.m., Trump was charged with felony racketeering and numerous conspiracy charges, court filings show.
The racketeering charge carries a sentence of five to 20 years, while a conspiracy conviction can result in a minimum sentence of one year in prison with a variable maximum sentence.
"Trump and the other defendants charged in this indictment refused to accept that Trump lost, and they knowingly and willfully joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump," the indictment says.
Willis said at a late-night news conference that arrest warrants have been issued for all of the defendants and that each has until Aug. 25 to surrender voluntarily.
Willis said she intends to try all 19 defendants together.
Among the incidents cited in the new indictment was Trump’s Jan. 2, 2021, phone call urging Georgia’s top elections official, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, to “find” the votes needed for Trump to overtake Joe Biden and claim victory in the state.
Trump has said the phone call was “perfect.”
The indictment also focuses on the so-called fake electors — people who signed a certificate falsely declaring that Trump won Georgia in the 2020 election and that they were the state’s official electors. A number of the bogus electors struck immunity deals with Willis’ office in the past few months, court filings show. Through the indictment, prosecutors number at least 19 unindicted co-conspirators, including 13 who are alleged to have participated in the fake elector plot.
"The false documents were intended to disrupt and delay the joint session of Congress on January 6, 2021, in order to unlawfully change the outcome of the November 3, 2020, presidential election in favor of Donald Trump," the indictment says.
The indictment lays out the plot chronologically, listing various efforts by Trump and the alleged co-conspirators to overturn the results in the state, and it says that in addition to those who have been charged, that there are 30 unindicted co-conspirators.
Willis convened a special grand jury to question witnesses and examine evidence in the case last year. The panel heard from 75 witnesses.
Raffensperger and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who had also been pressured by Trump and his allies to alter the outcome of the 2020 election, testified before the panel, as well. Raffensperger and Kemp are Republicans.
Trump has accused Willis of "election interference" by proceeding with the probe while he is running for president.

These are state charges so let’s say a President Ramaswamy wants to pardon Trump he can’t.
Unlike most states the Governor of Georgia has no pardon power. There is a five member state board appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate that has that power.

I am always reminded of what Mom used to say:that "the rico laws were made to deal with guys with names like 'Rico'"(back in the early Sixties era of Jimmy Hoffa when the Mob was corrupting labor unions).
Never noticed that similarity to the name of that brand of cough drops.

Question: Has Trump been charged with anything that would actually, constitutionally disqualify him from running for President?

Cliffs: trump’s an insurrectionist and should be prohibited from holding office. Their paper may end up being used against him in court.
The lawyer youtuber says even if Trump is not convicted or not convicted of insurrection or sedition individual citizens can bring a law suit and successfully cite these scholars to disqualify Trump.
If they won’t indict a sitting President despite nothing in the constitution explicitly prohibiting that they are going to let individual citizens undo the actions of voters who reelected him knowing full well who he is and what he did?
This can be avoided if the voters reject him again. If.

Trump supporters post names and addresses of Georgia grand jurors online
NBC News is choosing not to name the website featuring the addresses to avoid further spreading the information.
The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office declined to comment. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis faced racist threats ahead of the return of the indictment and additional security measures were put in place, with some employees being allowed to work from home.
The grand juror's purported addresses were spotted by Advance Democracy, Inc., a non-partisan research group founded by Daniel J. Jones, a former FBI investigator and staffer for the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
Advance Democracy also noted that users were posting on other social media sites the names and images of people believed to have been grand jurors. The posts asserted that the jurors had posted on social media in support of Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., former President Barack Obama and the Black Lives Matter movement.
And it was easy because
In Georgia, grand jurors’ names are public — even in Trump indictment
But under state law, the identities of the jurors are not secret. In fact, the names of the Fulton County jurors are listed on Page 9 of the 98-page indictment released late Monday that criminally charges former president Donald Trump and 18 others.
The law, which is aimed at bringing transparency to criminal proceedings, doesn’t give judges options to protect the privacy of jurors, experts said — even in a high-profile case like Trump’s indictment that could expose them to intense scrutiny or even threats.
“It’s a matter of public record,” said Pete Skandalakis, executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, which provides training to prosecutors in the state. “Georgia has always been proud of the fact that the court system is a very open process here. I have not found a case — that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist — that allows us to keep grand jurors’ names secret.”
Concerns about the Atlanta-area jurors’ safety surfaced immediately Tuesday morning when the photos of at least two jurors were posted on Twitter by an anonymous account. Names of jurors popped up in pro-Trump extremist forums as supporters weighed the benefits of digging into jurors’ lives against the risks that it would backfire and make themselves “unwitting pawns.”
One post read: “It’s time we do the doxing,” invoking a practice that typically refers to exposing someone to harassment by publishing their personal information online. Another agreed, writing that “People need to be outside these peoples houses.”
Others in the forum sharply disagreed, warning Trump supporters not to be sucked into a potential “false flag” operation because the media would surely pounce on any threats to jurors. “Seriously,” one user wrote. “Imagine if something were to happen to a person on that list by ‘a crazy maga.’”
Several of the jurors disabled their profiles on LinkedIn and Facebook. Others turned off their phones, sending callers straight to voice mail. One juror answered a call from The Washington Post and said “No comment” before hanging up. A son of one juror reached by The Post said he would pass along the request to speak with his father, but he added it was unlikely that the man would engage with news media because of security concerns
Skandalakis said that in his three decades of experience as a prosecutor, grand jurors in Georgia rarely give interviews after bringing charges. However, the foreperson of a Fulton County special purpose grand jury, which investigated alleged interference in the state’s 2020 election and issued a final report that remains mostly sealed, did speak publicly earlier this year.

Fulton County DA proposes March 4 trial date for Trump and co-defendants
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis proposed a March 4 trial date preceded by arraignments the week of Sept. 5. Trump and some of his closest aides and allies were indicted on felony charges Monday in connection with efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.
"In light of Defendant Donald John Trump’s other criminal and civil matters pending in the courts of our sister sovereigns, the State of Georgia proposes certain deadlines that do not conflict with these other courts’ already-scheduled hearings and trial dates," Willis wrote.
She said the proposed dates accounted for defendants’ needs to review discovery and get ready for trial "but also to protect the State of Georgia’s and the public’s interest in a prompt resolution of the charges for which the Defendants have been indicted."

Only if they threaten or attack the Grand Jurors. If you know the name, it is a basic internet search to find addresses.
