This is a first in a longtime ....NASA will have launched people atop a huge Saturn 5 Rocket, In A test flight , with the Boing company.. And old time Apollo program , Launches of humans into space .Even back as far as the Gemini program
This very evening from Cape Canaveral, Florida .. It is on UTube...

Well they have Backup launch dates for next few days .....in the old days , NASA launches used to be a big thing .

Yeah. Back in the Sixties we all sat in awe in front of the tube with church like devotion as they launched those guys riding uptop those upside down roman candles the size of sky scrapers into the sky. While uncle Walt provide play by play and color.

But then they completed Apollo and proved that we could get humans on the Moon.

So even by the space shuttle Seventies we'd all gone blase' about space launches. And rarely watched them.

But now...we have a renewed interest in the Moon. And some renewed international competition about it too. The fascination my return.

Maybe.... people whom thought astronomical events are , hopefully up for the Space travel test flight . Stuff....
This is perhaps the baby steps to the Moon, Am hoping .? besides sometimes those test pilots do not get to come back, everyso often.?

Then you consider , when the Saturn 5 rocket was designed ? The math says they are going up on A Rocket Engine designed more than 30 years ago ?...

I remember back in the slightly later moon launch days, nobody paid attention after the first few, esp. the ones after 13.

You mean the one that did not quite make it to space and cost the lives of some highly Astronauts .

Apollo one (January 27, 1967) failed on the launch pad and incinerated 3 astronauts. Apollo 13 (April 13, 1970) was, in the words of NASA, a "successful failure" in that the astronauts were able to learn survival workarounds despite the damage caused by that exploding O2 tank.

Did anything fall off?
I'd be very anxious about trusting a recent Boeing product.
