Abuse of autistic patients by facility staff in NY

NY Post ran an article today exposing what goes on some state-sponsored autism centers.

Bad stuff, but then a lot of facilities for people that require round-the-clock care feature abuse. Elderly get abused too. Only remedy I can think of is have staff composed of volunteers from the families, but they are probably poor & working for a living and unable to volunteer. Who has the time?

The whistleblower was an immigrant from Malawi and got fired. Now, I think the whistleblower should be reinstated & have their visa extended for another year, maybe even be hired & sponsored by the state to work as an inspector.
