While AOC is who we need, Walz or Fetterman may be the Dems' best chance of winning the presidency.

neither of them have a snowball's chance in perdition. a pol like Clinton or Obama comes along only once per generation. a generation of voters that would vote for such people only come along once in a few generations.

Walz? He was on a losing ticket for president and for The Democrats, winning in 28 is a must. Fetterman? He's alienated a lot of progressives.

Well I'd vote for him and maybe he could have AOC or Jasmine Crockett as vice president.

I think Crockett has a very good chance of being our first black female President.

I'm still leaning toward AOC, but can she even win the Democratic primaries, let alone the general?

Running for president being a member of the house is hard. The last nominee from any party that went for The US house to the Whitehouse was James Garfield I believe.

AOC seems like a logical choice for the senate, if Gillibrand would retire. However, a democratic party primary in that case could be tough. AOC's house seat is safe so she will likely remain there. Crockett's house seat is in a solid blue district as well. Maybe either of them, should consider running for a leadership position, as the current ones running the show seem to be spineless and incompetent.

One thing is sure, nominating these corporate mealy-mouthed candidates is a losing strategy. Not having a clear platform.

How about someone who will run on the following-

1. Single Payer healthcare or at least do like Switzerland does, force insurance companies to be non-profit and having clear pricing guidelines for things, meaning not insurance companies just making stuff up.

2. Pass a Constitutional amendment guaranteeing a right to an abortion.

3. Passing a constitutional amendment overturning citizens united

4.Passing a constitutional amendment guaranteeing full rights for LBGTQ+ people. Marriage, not getting fired from a job, etc.... something the court cannot overturn

5. Normalizing relations with Cuba, ending the embargo.

6. Full investment in upgrading the power grid infrastructure

7. Establish a national electricity power company, no more rate hikes and CEOs making big money off it not to mention politicians. Look up Ohio's first energy scandal.

8. Raise the top tax rate to 60-70%, which is about where it was before Reagan

9. Repeal Taft-Harley

Those are ones that come to mind.

Back to Walz though, I forgot FDR was the nominee for Vice President in 1920. Cox of course lost to Harding by a wide margin. Sounds weird but Walz may very well run in 28. His term for governor is up in 26, he's not made any indication of running again or not for governor.
