Sounds like he is just what they said, in the article: "A Suburban Brat."

He makes Australian teenagers look bad. And I am an Australian teenager. I hope someone kills him or something.

There are so many things wrong with that story. The posing for the camera, the parents out of town, the angry stepdad, the out of the country father, the completely oblivious attitude of the kid.

My husband had something similar happen. But it was an accident. He and his friend were going to have a small party at his friend's uncle's cabin in the mountains. they made a flier as a joke among the invited friends (like 10). Someone Xeroxed it and passed them around and they ended up all over the region, spread across several schools. The fliers ended up getting in the hands of the cops, who then made a barricade to the place. They wouldn't let anyone up the mountain road and created a huge traffic jam. Apparently a lot of kids were drinking on the way up and so got arrested by the cops in the barricade. Luckily my husband and his friend found out about the cops and didn't go up or get caught. They didn't get found out either by the kids that got arrested or their night ruined.

He's just a stupid kid doing what kids do.
I seriously don't see why this should become such a huge issue.

It is only a big deal because the media is making it a big deal.
It bothers me that so many people support him.

I reckon the whole story could've been like this: "teenager throws party, party suddenly turned into a riot, boy got fined, the end."
seriously though, who would make that an exclusive? I just don't get it.

"I think you should have a good long hard look at yourself when you get home"
"I have, everyone else has, they all love it."

:lol::lol: LOL! Priceless! :lol: :lol:

Not just Australian teenagers, but teenagers in general. I think he got what he deserved. I just wonder what happened to some of the 500 friends.

Probably some reporter was desperate to make print on time, so they jazzed this up.

Ahhh, don't pass so many moral judgments. If you guys can't have a good time and thrash your home once in a while, why live? Jeez, come on. I'd buy him a beer.

a teenager in melbourne threw a big party while his parents were away and it ended up ruining the neighbourhood due to the high number of gatecrashers (a 16th party this was).

anyway it sucks how good peoples can be made to look bad by dummies like this.

Hmmm... Jeeze not sure what to think about it. Part of me is angry I did not get an invite, and part of me thinks this kid is stupid and needs to learn an important lesson. Nothing wrong with a controled party where noone gets hurt or proporty gets damaged, but at the same time I suppose you are only a teenager once. I never would attempt anything close to what this guy did, but I kinda wish growing up I had a few people over when the folks were not home and got roudy. Then again I wont even have too many people over at my own house, so idk...
